This yummy, comforting chicken casserole is very economical to make with only 4 store bought ingredients. It packs a lot of flavor which will make you and everyone that you serve it to very happy.
4 chicken breasts
1 c. long grain white rice, raw
1 package dry onion soup mix (or homemade)
10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. water
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 9 × 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Place chicken breasts in prepared baking dish; season with salt and pepper; pour raw rice over chicken; sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Combine mushroom soup and 1 1/2 c. water; pour over chicken.
Cover; bake 1 hour 15 minutes or until rice is tender. Depending on your oven, it could take up to 1 hour 40 minutes.
