Slow Cooker Kalua Pork

Description

This pork is so delicious, you will want to serve it to guests to show off a bit. It's good enough for holidays and special occasions too. You wouldn't think that a recipe with only 3 ingredients could be this good! Serve it with a salad and some avocado

Ingredients

2-3 lb. trimmed pork shoulder blade roast
1 T. liquid mesquite smoke
coarse red Hawaiian sea salt (or any sea salt)

Place pork in the crock pot; pierce it all over with the tip of a sharp knife; rub sea salt all over pork; drizzle the liquid smoke all over.

Turn crock pot on Low; cook until meat is tender, about 12 - 16 hours.

Remove from crock pot; place on a large platter or cutting board. Remove and discard any fat. Shred pork with 2 forks. Reserve some liquid to keep pork moist; discard the remaining liquid.

8 - 10 servings.

*You may want to reserve some extra liquid for left overs.
