Meatball Sub Bubble-Up Bake

Description

Casseroles are loved because they are simple to prepare and usually are made with just a few ingredients. With some canned biscuits, marinara/spaghetti sauce, cheese and frozen meatballs, you can serve your family a great meal without a lot of fuss.

Ingredients

16.3 oz. can Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Homestyle refrigerated original biscuits
16 oz. bag frozen cooked Italian meatballs
1 green bell pepper, diced and sautéed
3 c. marinara/spaghetti sauce
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Italian cheese blend
grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil, if desired for serving

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each biscuit into 6 pieces; place in large bowl. Add meatballs, sautéed bell pepper and marinara sauce; stir until well coated. Pour into an un-greased 13 x 9 inch (3 qt.) glass baking dish. Sprinkle Italian cheese blend over top.

Bake 35 minutes or until biscuit pieces are puffy and cheese is melted and golden brown.

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped basil, if desired.
