Description

These pull apart pizzas can be served as an appetizer, a light meal or as a snack. They are quick and easy to make and are a fun way to make pizza.

Ingredients

cooking spray
8 oz. can Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dough sheet
1/4 c. pizza sauce
1/2 t. Italian seasoning
1/2 c. cooked pork sausage crumbles, thawed (from a 9.6 oz. package)
1/3 c. pepperoni minis (from a 5 oz. package)
1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper
onion powder, to taste
3/4 c. (3 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray, or line with cooking parchment paper.

On a large cutting board, unroll dough sheet; spread pizza sauce over dough, leaving about 1/2 inch on 1 long side uncovered. Sprinkle sauce with Italian seasoning. Top with cooked sausage, pepperoni, bell pepper and cheese. Sprinkle on onion powder, to taste. Starting with the topped long side, firmly roll up dough toward uncovered edge; pinch seam to seal tightly. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut roll into 9 equal slices.

Place pieces cut side down on prepared cookie sheet with 7 slices in a circle, sides touching; place 2 slices in center.

Bake 16 - 20 minutes or until dough is deep golden brown and baked through.

Serve with additional pizza sauce, if desired.
