1 lb. ground sausage, your favorite
13.8 oz. tube refrigerated pizza dough
2 c. (8 oz.) Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 large egg, beaten, for brushing
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
In a skillet, crumble and brown sausage over medium heat, until no longer pink; drain and discard grease.
Open the pizza dough tube onto the prepared baking sheet; straighten edges into a rectangle. Sprinkle cooked sausage and Mozzarella cheese over the dough, leaving about a one inch opening along the edges. Roll up dough jelly-roll or cinnamon-roll style, crimping seam closed; seal and tuck the ends under. Place bread seam-side down on the baking sheet; brush loaf with beaten egg.
Bake 25-30 minutes, or until crust is golden and bread is cooked through. Allow loaf to rest 10 minutes before slicing.
