Chili Cheese Dog Sliders

Description

Confused as to what to serve at your next party or gathering and don't want to spend a lot of time or energy doing it? Try these easy sliders. They are economical to make and are delicious too.

Ingredients

non-stick cooking spray, for baking pan
24 small slider buns, split into halves
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
8 hot dogs, your favorite
15 oz. can chili, your favorite
1/2 small white onion, chopped
2 T. butter, melted
1/2 t. garlic powder
2 T. finely chopped chives, for garnish, optional

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a large baking pan with cooking spray; place the bottom halves of the buns side by side in a baking pan. Scatter half of the cheese over buns.

Cut each hot dog in half lengthwise; lay them side by side over the cheese; top hot dogs with chili, remaining cheese, chopped onion; place on the remaining bun halves. Brush tops of buns with melted butter; sprinkle with garlic powder.

Bake until cheese has melted and buns are slightly toasted, about 15 minutes.

Garnish with chives. Serve immediately.
