Spice up those boring pork chops with this delicious, easy recipe to grill pork chops. The pear chutney served on top of the perfectly seasoned pork chops just takes them over the top. Serve them with a salad and your favorite side.
Pork Rub:
1 1/2 lb. pork chops from about 8-10 thin cut pork chops
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 T. chili powder
1 t. cinnamon
1 tsp. garlic powder
kosher salt and pepper, to taste
Pear Chutney:
3 pears peeled, and diced
1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
1 T. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. orange ginger spice or ground ginger
1/2 t. chili powder
1/2 t. cinnamon
kosher salt, to taste
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Mix together the rub ingredients; thoroughly coat each pork chop with the rub.
Allow pork chops to sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before grilling.
Grill pork chops, 4-6 minutes per side, turning only one time. After removing from heat, let rest for 5 minutes before cutting the meat.
Combine all pear chutney ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat;
cook, stirring occasionally, until pears are nice and soft and the sauce coats the pears.
Serve the pork chops with the pear chutney spooned over the top.
