Love sliders? Serve these to your family or guests at your next party or just for lunch or dinner. They would be fantastic at your next Super Bowl gathering.
Ingredients
- 10 bratwurst links
- 1 qt. light beer, your preference (or ginger ale)
- 1 Spanish onion, thinly sliced
- 2 T. vegetable oil
- 1½ c. sauerkraut, drained
- 10 pretzel slider buns, cut in half with the insides buttered
- 1 c. 1000 Island dressing
- 10 slices Wisconsin Swiss cheese
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine beer, bratwurst and onions; bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer; cook for 13 minutes; turn off heat; keep warm.
- Heat a large griddle pan over medium-high heat; add vegetable oil; when hot, add sauerkraut; cook until lightly golden and heated through.
- Remove brats from the beer; add to the griddle; brown on all sides; remove from griddle; add slider buns, buttered side down, until lightly golden.
