Description

These Greek Pork Pitas are addicting and so easy to make. Serve them in warmed pitas with your favorite toppings. They can also be made much quicker in an Instant Pot!

Ingredients

Greek Pork:
3 lb. pork shoulder, fat trimmed
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. oregano
1 t. salt
1 t. onion powder
1 t. freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 T. freshly squeezed lemon juice

Pitas:
warmed pitas
tzatziki sauce (store bought or home made)

toppings: lettuce, red onion, feta cheese, 8 oz. jar chopped sun-dried tomatoes, lemon juice, Kalamata olives

Place all Greek Pork ingredients in a slow cooker on Low heat; cook for 10-12 hours OR in cook in an Instant Pot on the meat/stew setting for about 45 minutes.

Shred meat; stir to distribute juices.

Assemble pitas with topping of choice.

6-8 servings.

*Pitas can be wrapped up (pita, pork, tomatoes) in foil and popped in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes to get them soft and yummy.
