There is no need to sacrifice flavor in this turkey meatloaf. It's made with lots of herbs and spices and then finished with a wonderful glaze that puts it over the top. Serve it with your favorite sides.
Meatloaf:
2 lb. ground turkey
1 c. plain breadcrumbs
1 t. dried basil
1 t. dried oregano
1 t. dried parsley
1 t. salt
½ t. black pepper
½ c. milk
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
Glaze:
1 c. ketchup
¼ c. brown sugar, tightly packed
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. red wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
⅛ t. salt
pinch of cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch glass baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, basil, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, milk, and Worcestershire sauce; knead until combined.
Shape meat into a loaf.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, garlic, salt and cayenne pepper; pour half of the mixture over the meatloaf; reserve the remaining half for later use.
Bake for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove from oven; pour reserved sauce over the loaf.
Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes.
Allow to rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
