Don't buy the frozen pizza rolls from the grocery store when it's so easy to make your own. They taste so much better and you can customize them to your own taste. Serve them as appetizers or part of a meal.
13.5 oz. package Pillsbury™ classic refrigerated pizza crust
1/2 t. Italian seasoning
1/2 t. garlic powder
1 T. butter, melted
3 T. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
12 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded or diced (diced is less messy)
6 oz. sliced pepperoni, coarsely chopped
warmed pizza sauce, for dipping
additional pizza toppings of choice, optional
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease a baking dish or large pie plate with non-stick cooking spray.
Unroll pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface; press into a 12 x 8 inch rectangle; cut into 24 squares. Place pepperoni and cheese or desired toppings into the center of each square. Gather the sides of each square up; pinch closed to create a ball. Place each ball seam side down in prepared baking dish.
In a small ramekin or bowl, stir melted butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning together. Using a pastry brush, brush the tops of rolls with melted butter mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over rolls.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until rolls are golden brown.
Serve with warm pizza sauce, for dipping.
