These yummy meatballs and gravy will have you and your family drooling. They are so easy and quick to make, they make the perfect weeknight dish. Serve them on spaghetti, your favorite pasta or egg noodles.
Meatballs:
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. seasoned breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 t. dried parsley
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground pepper
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
1/4 t. ground allspice
1 large egg
2 T. milk
Dijon Gravy:
3 T. salted butter
2 T. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. beef broth/stock
1 c. milk
2 t. Dijon mustard
In a large bowl, mix together all of the meatball ingredients until fully combined.
Form meatballs with the meat mixture with your hands or a scoop. Place meatballs on a baking sheet; place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
Heat oil on a large skillet; brown the meatballs on all sides until the meatballs are cooked through; remove from the saucepan; set aside.
Melt butter in the skillet; whisk flour in until medium brown. Pour in the broth/stock; simmer until thickened. Add in milk and mustard; simmer until thick and creamy.
Place meatballs in the sauce; cook until the meatballs are heated through.
6-8 servings.
