Chalet Style Macaroni and Cheese

Description

This pasta dish can be served as a main dish or as a side with your favorite main dish. It's quick and easy to prepare and is very delicious.

Ingredients

10.5 oz. macaroni pasta
oil and butter, for frying
2 onions, diced
1 3/4 c. heavy whipping cream
7 oz. milk
7 oz. Gruyère cheese, grated
salt and pepper, to taste

Cook macaroni in well salted boiling water for 10 minutes; drain.

Lightly fry the macaroni in a small amount of oil and butter until golden brown.

In a separate pan, fry onion in oil and butter.

Mix everything together until well combined.

Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Serve.

  Sylva Downing When making this receipe it doesn't say what to do with the heavy cream and milk, plus cheese. Do you make a sauce and then add to the other ingredients and bake it??
