Description
These sausage balls are so versatile, they can be appetizers, snacks or part of breakfast, lunch or dinner. They are a Southern staple, but you don't have to have Southern roots to enjoy these scrumptious, flavorful sausage balls.
Ingredients
3 c. Bisquick all-purpose baking mix
1 lb. ground hot pork sausage
10 oz. package sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/8 t. black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease large baking sheets.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, pressing mixture together with hands. Shape into 3/4 inch balls. and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake each baking sheet for 15 - 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
Serve immediately.
Makes 8 dozen.
*If wanting a dip, stir together 1 c. mayo and 1 T. mustard.
**To make in advance, uncooked Sausage Balls can be frozen. Bake frozen balls at 400º for 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
