Garlic Parmesan Wings

Description

There's no need to fry chicken wings when they can be made healthier by baking them. They are still delicious and are much less messy to prepare.

Ingredients

3 lb. chicken wings, split and tips removed (36 split wings total)
2 T. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. seasoned salt
1/2 t. black pepper

Sauce:
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. black pepper
1/4 t. seasoned salt
4-6 dashes Louisiana hot sauce
1 T. freshly chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil; place a piece of parchment paper on top of the foil.

Pat wings dry with a paper towel. Toss wings in flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.

Place wings in a single layer on prepared baking pan.

Bake wings 20 minutes; flip over; bake an additional 15 minutes. You could also turn the oven up to 475 degrees and bake wings another 10 minutes until golden brown and crisp, if desired.

While wings are baking, combine the sauce ingredients together.

Toss cooked wings in sauce until well coated.

Optional: Turn oven up to 475°F and bake wings an additional 10 minutes or until golden and crisp (broil if desired).

Serve, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley.
