This breakfast casserole isn't just for breakfast. Enjoy it for brunch, lunch or even dinner if you want. It just might be the best breakfast casserole ever!
16 oz. can jumbo buttermilk biscuits
1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage cooked, crumbled
2 c. shredded Colby and Monterrey jack cheeses
6 large eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 packet gravy mix
2 c. water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch, 3 qt. glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook sausage, crumbling up while cooking; discard grease; set aside.
Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces. Lay out biscuit pieces in the bottom of prepared dish. Sprinkle cooked sausage over biscuits. Sprinkle on cheese over biscuits and sausage.
Combine eggs and milk; beat well. Pour egg mixture over biscuits, sausage and cheese.
Stir together ingredients from gravy packet and water; pour over casserole; cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 50 minutes. Remove foil; broil for 3-5 minutes to get the top browned, making sure that it doesn't burn.
Allow casserole to sit for about 5 minutes.
Serve.
