Cooler weather will be here soon and hot dishes are preferred. The whole family will love this economical and easy to put together meal.
4 hot dogs
4 Cheddar string cheese sticks
1 can Pillsbury Pizza dough
15 oz. can chili
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. freshly chopped parsley
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Unwrap cheese sticks; cut cheese sticks into halves lengthwise; set aside.
Evenly roll out pizza dough; cut dough into 4 equal sections.
Place each hot dog between 2 slices of the cheese stick halves. Start at one end of a dough section, wrap a hotdog and its cheese with the dough, covering the whole length of the hot dog with the dough.
First place wrapped hot dogs in a 7x 11 or 6x10 inch baking dish, with the seam sides down, then our chili into the baking dish. Placing hot dogs in dish first will prevent doughy bottoms.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops of the dough is golden brown and the dough is cooked.
Stir together the melted butter, garlic powder and chopped parsley; brush on the tops of the dough.
Serve.
