Serve this delicious pasta as a side or a main dish. Everyone will love the nutty brown butter and garlic flavors. It's a quick dish to prepare and you probably have many of the ingredients already in your pantry.
1 lb. angel hair pasta
1/2 c. unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
minced chives, parsley or tarragon, for garnish, optional
Cook pasta in well salted water according to package directions, about 4-6 minutes. Drain.
While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; add garlic cloves. Cook over medium heat until butter foams, giving the pan a swirl occasionally. When butter foams, keep a close eye on it. The color will change from yellow to tan and then to brown. When it turns brown, remove it from the heat immediately; pour over cooked pasta; discard garlic cloves. Stir in cheese until melted.
Serve hot, garnished with parsley, chives or tarragon.
