Who needs those boxed hamburger dinners when you can make your own easily at home. It's much better made with fresh ingredients and very delicious.
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. onion, diced
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1/2 t. garlic powder
21.5 oz. cream of mushroom soup (do not add water)
15.25 oz. can corn, drained
1 1/2 lb. potatoes, with skins (5 c. diced, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 c. shredded sharp cheese, divided
Brown ground beef and onion together in a large skillet over medium-high heat; discard excess fat. Transfer beef and onion to a 6 qt. or larger crock pot.
Wash and dry potatoes; cut into small cubes, leaving the skins on; pour over meat and onion in the crock pot. Add soup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, corn and half of the cheese; stir well. Spread out into a flat, even layer.
Cover; cook on LOW for 5 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time.
Evenly spread remaining cheese over the hash. Cover; and allow cheese to melt, about 10 minutes.
Serve.
