Italian sub sandwich, meet the burrito. If you are tired of your boring sandwich with bread, try this easy, delicious variation.
4 burrito-size flour tortillas, warmed*
8 oz. ham slices
4 oz. salami slices
4 oz. shredded Mozzarella or Italian blend cheese
1 c. shredded lettuce
4 tomato slices
1 red onion, thinly sliced
vinaigrette dressing
Soften each tortilla in a hot skillet.
In the middle of each tortilla, layer ham and salami slices; sprinkle cheese on top; add lettuce, tomato and red onion. Don't overfill or they won't stay closed. Drizzle with salad dressing, to taste. Roll up like a burrito.
Serve with extra dressing on the side.
*Tortillas will crack and won't stay rolled if not warmed.
4 servings.
Tip: If wanting to make wraps packable, leave wraps dry and serve the dressing on the side.
