Want an easy, delicious dinner? Just dump the ingredients in your slow cooker and let it create magic. The roast has a ton of flavor and is great served with rice or egg noodles, if desired.
3 lb. chuck roast
salt and pepper
1 oz. packet dried onion soup mix
1 onion, diced
3 Yukon Gold potatoes, diced or 1 lb. baby potatoes
3 large carrots, chopped
½ c. water
Place the chuck roast in a 7 quart slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper;
sprinkle on the dried onion soup mix. Add vegetables and water. (If desired, the chuck roast can be browned on all sides before adding it to the slow cooker.)
Cook on Low for 8 hours, or on High for 4-5 hours.

Tip: For easy clean up, use a slow cooker liner.
