This dish is so awesome, everyone will think that you got take out from a Korean restaurant. It's something different to make with ground beef, it's easy and super fast to make too.
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 t. sesame oil
1/2 t. crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
1/4 t. ground ginger
1 T. vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 t. sesame seeds, for serving
sliced green onions, for serving
cooked rice, for serving if desired
In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add ground beef; cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, crumbling beef as it cooks; discard excess fat.
Stir in soy sauce mixture; add green onions, stirring until well combined; simmer until until heated through, about 2 minutes.
Serve immediately over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and more green onions, if desired.
4 servings.
*You might consider doubling the sauce if serving this over rice.
