Italian Ground Beef Pie

Description

Quick and simple meals are needed for busy weeknights. This one is delicious and economic, made with ground beef, spaghetti sauce, cheese and topped with buttery, flaky crescent rolls.

Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. favorite spaghetti sauce
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 T. garlic, minced
1 t. salt
1/2 t. black pepper
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
2 T. butter, melted
1/3 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Generously grease a pie dish.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef; discard any excess grease.

Stir in spaghetti sauce, garlic, salt and pepper; heat over medium-high heat until heated through.

In a bowl, mix mozzarella cheese and sour cream until well blended.

Pour meat/sauce mixture into the bottom of the prepared pie dish. Spread cheese/sour cream mixture across the top.

Separate crescent roll triangles and arrange triangles across the top, completely covering the dish. Crimp the outside edges.

Brush melted butter across the entire dough surface. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese.

Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

6-8 servings.
