This casserole can be made quickly with many ingredients that you probably have on hand. Just pop it in oven and serve with a salad for a complete, delicious meal.
2 - 25 oz. jars favorite spaghetti/marinara sauce, divided
2- 30 oz. packages/bags frozen cheese ravioli/ spinach cheese ravioli, not thawed, divided
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1/3 c. chopped fresh basil leaves, optional garnish
pinch of nutmeg, optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking/casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Spread half of 1 jar of marinara/spaghetti sauce evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add 1 package of ravioli in an even layer over the sauce. Top with the remaining half jar of marinara/spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle 3/4 c. Mozzarella cheese and 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
Add 1/2 of the second jar of sauce, remaining ravioli, remaining sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg, if desired.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, sprayed side down.
Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover; bake for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbly.
Remove from oven; let sit for 5 minutes.
Serve warm, garnished with basil, if desired.
