This Americanized version of the famous Italian dish contains heavy cream along with Parmesan cheese, butter and of course fettuccine pasta. It's easy and quick to prepare and most of all it's delicious.
12 oz. fettuccine pasta
salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. heavy cream
black pepper, to taste
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped
Cook fettuccine in well salted boiling water until al dente according to package directions, about 12-13 minutes; drain.
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; gradually stir in cheese; cream until well blended; heat sauce, stirring constantly, just to the boiling point.
Remove from heat; season with pepper; stir in parsley.
Toss sauce with the hot pasta.
