Stuffed Pizza

Ingredients

1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
3 1/3 c, Original Bisquick™ mix
3/4 c. cold water
3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese (12 oz.)
14-15 oz. jar pizza sauce
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms (3 oz.)
1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper or favorite bell pepper

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking dish.

Cook sausage and ground beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until brown; discard excess grease; set aside.

Stir Bisquick and water together in a large bowl until dough forms. Divide dough into 2 parts, 1 part slightly larger.

Roll the larger one into a rectangle, 16x14 inches, on a surface dusted with Bisquick. Fold crosswise into thirds.

Place it in the center of the prepared baking dish; unfold. Press on bottom and up sides of dish. Sprinkle with 1 c. cheese; top with 3/4 c. pizza sauce, the meat mixture, mushrooms and bell pepper, pizza toppings and 1 1/2 c. cheese.

Roll remaining smaller dough part into a rectangle, 13x9 inches; fold crosswise into thirds.

Place it on the cheese in the center of baking dish; unfold. Press bottom and top crust edges together to seal. Cut small slits in top crust to allow steam to be released to ensure even baking.

Spread remaining pizza sauce over the crust; sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake uncovered 22 - 25 minutes or until edges of crust are golden brown.
