This will become one of your favorite main dish recipes because it's easy, delicious and can be ready in about 25 minutes. It's served in a sweet and tangy honey garlic sauce that is to die for.
2 pork tenderloins (trimmed, 1-1 1/4 lb. each)*
1 T. oil
1/2 t. seasoning salt
2/3 c. clear honey
1/4 c. low-sodium chicken broth (or water)
2 T. low-sodium soy sauce
2 T. minced garlic
1 T. apple cider vinegar
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 T. corn starch
1/8-1/4 crushed red pepper flakes
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 × 13 inch baking dish.
Place tenderloins in the prepared baking dish; brush with oil; season all over with seasoning salt.
In a bowl, whisk together honey, broth, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, salt, corn starch and red pepper flakes. Pour sauce around pork tenderloin in pan, but avoiding pouring on top of pork as it will prevent the pork from browning.
Bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes until a meat thermometer reads at least 145 degrees F for medium rare or longer to your desired doneness.
Remove from the oven. Cover; let rest for 10 minutes.
Slice pork tenderloin.
Serve with sauce.
8 servings.
* Tip: Take the meat out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking, for it to lose some of the chill.
