Wife's Delight Casserole

Description

Who knows if this is really wife's delight or husband's delight? All that matters is that it's made with layers of buttery egg noodles, tangy spaghetti sauce, ground beef, sour cream and yummy cheese. Plus, it's quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 t. garlic salt
24 oz. spaghetti sauce
1.37 oz. packet spaghetti dry seasoning mix, thick and zesty
12 oz. medium egg noodles, cooked
16 oz. sour cream
16 oz. shredded cheese, your favorite

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

In a pot of well salted boiling water, cook the egg noodles until done, about 5-8 minutes; drain.

In the meantime, add ground beef and garlic salt to a skillet; cook and crumble meat until it's no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Discard excess grease.

In a bowl, combine the spaghetti sauce, spaghetti dry seasoning mix, and the cooked beef; stir.

Spread 1/3 of the cooked noodles into the prepared baking dish. Spread 1/3 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles. Spread 1/3 of the sour cream on top of the meat mixture. Sprinkle 1/3 the cheese on top of the sour cream.

Repeat the layers 2 more times, starting with the noodles and ending with the cheese.

Bake, uncovered, until cheese has melted and casserole is heated through, about 30 minutes.

Serve.
