Description
Use that leftover ham to make ham sandwiches, but ham sandwiches to the next level. They're easy, delicious and can be on the table in 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 slices hearty bread, like Ciabatta bread
- olive oil
- Dijon mustard
- 4 oz. thinly sliced ham or leftover ham
- 2 oz. thinly sliced Swiss cheese
- 1 pear, cored and thinly sliced (could sub apple slices)
- 2 romaine lettuce leaves, folded or torn to the size of the bread
- freshly ground pepper
Steps
- Heat a griddle, grill pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Brush one side of each slice of bread with olive oil; spread the second side of each slice with mustard.
- Layer cheese, ham, lettuce and pear together on each sandwich; season with pepper; top with the second slice of bread.
