Don't like meatloaf? Think again! Everyone will love this brown sugar meatloaf and will ask you to make it again and again. Be sure to make extra sauce because it is so yummy!
Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. quick-cooking oats, uncooked
- 1/2 c. green onions, chopped
- 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 t. liquid smoke, optional
- several drops hot sauce
- 2 t. minced garlic
- 1 t. salt or to taste
- 1/2 t. black pepper
- 1 T. Dijon mustard
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce, divided (use only half for the loaf)
- 1 egg
- 1 T. brown sugar
- Sauce: *
- 1/2 c. (4 oz.) remaining tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 T. Dijon mustard
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Meatloaf:
- Mix all of the meatloaf ingredients together in a large bowl. Shape mixture into a loaf; place in baking dish.
