1/2 c. unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
chopped parsley, for garnish
Cook pasta in well salted water according to package directions, about 3-5 minutes; drain; set aside.
While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; add garlic cloves; cook over medium heat until butter foams, swirling the pan occasionally. Once butter foams, keep a close eye on it so that it doesn't burn. The color will change from yellow to tan to brown. When it turns brown, immediately remove the pan from the heat and pour it over the cooked pasta. Discard the garlic cloves. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
