This may be the best pot roast ever and it isn't even necessary to turn on the oven. It's a savory one pot dish that everyone will rave about.
3 - 4 lb. chuck roast
1 lb. baby carrots
1 lb. red potatoes, quartered, or halved baby red potatoes
1 white onion, peeled and diced large
1 oz. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
10.5 oz. cream of mushroom soup
3 T. Worcestershire sauce
12 oz. regular Coca Cola (Pepsi Cola or Root Beer)
Wash and cut up vegetables.
Place the chuck roast in a 6 quart or larger slow cooker. Add the carrots, potatoes, and onion. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the top. Evenly spread the cream of mushroom soup over the top of the roast and the vegetables. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and Coca Cola.
Cook on Low setting for 9 hours without opening the lid while cooking.
Transfer the roast to a platter or a cutting board. Shred the meat with two forks; discard any fat.
Degrease the gravy with paper towels, being careful to not soak up any cooking juices.
Transfer the roast back to the slow cooker.
Serve.
