The slow cooker does all of the work to make this an easy main dish to serve your family. It's easy to make with just a few ingredients and makes the best, delicious BBQ chicken sandwiches ever.
3 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Sauce:
1 1/2 c. favorite BBQ sauce
1/2 medium onion, grated with its juices
1 T. olive oil
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. brown sugar
buns, for serving
In a 5 or 6 quart slow cooker, stir together all sauce ingredients. Add chicken; coat chicken in the sauce.
Cover; cook on High 3 - 4 hours or on Low 6-7 hours.
Chicken is done when cooked through and shreds easily.
Transfer chicken to a cutting board; shred meat using two forks. Transfer shredded chicken back into the slow cooker; stir to coat in the sauce.
Makes 8 sandwiches.
