Your slow cooker will do all of the work to make an addicting main dish that everyone will love. It's flavorful, cheesy, and oh so good, it will be a hit at dinnertime.
2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 T. salted butter, cut into slices
2 T. dry Ranch seasoning (1 oz. packet)
8 oz. cream cheese, cubed
1 c. crumbled, cooked bacon, about 6 slices
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 T. sliced green onions, for garnish
buns, for serving, optional
Place the chicken breasts in a 6 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle on the Ranch seasoning; arrange the butter slices over the chicken; add the cubed cream cheese.
Cover.
Cook on High 4 - 5 hours or on Low 6 - 8 hours.
When done, use 2 forks to shred the chicken while still inside the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the bacon and Cheddar cheese over the shredded chicken.
Cover. Cook about 10 more minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
Serve hot, garnished with green onions as a main dish with sides or on a bun for a sandwich.
