In less than 30 minutes, these pork chops can be on your dinner table. They are coated and baked with a flavorful herb butter which make them moist and delicious.
4 pork chops*
3 T. unsalted butter
1 t. Italian seasoning
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
Place a baking sheet in the oven and then preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave; add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Dry each side of the pork chops with paper towels. Baste one side of each pork chop with the seasoned butter.
Place the pork chops directly on the preheated baking sheet with the buttered sides down. Finish basting the pork chops on the top sides with the remaining butter.
Bake for about 15 minutes for 1/2 inch pork chops or 20 minutes for 1 inch pork chops, until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees.
Remove from oven and let rest 3-5 minutes before serving.
4 servings.
* Bone in pork chops will take about 1 minute longer per 1/2 inch of thickness than a boneless pork chop.
If wanting more browning on the pork chops, sear them first over medium-high heat quickly in a skillet, then finish cooking in the oven.
