This is the easiest to make homemade spaghetti ever. It's ready for the table in less than an hour and cooks in just one pot. It's so delicious and tastes like it has been cooking all day.
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium white onion, diced
5 cloves garlic, minced
3 c. beef broth
2 -15 oz. cans tomato sauce
2 -15 oz. cans diced tomatoes
1 c. water
1 T. Italian seasoning
1 1/2 t. salt
1 t. onion powder
1 t. black pepper
16 oz. spaghetti pasta
Heat a large 6 qt. pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion. Cook, breaking up the beef, until the meat is browned and the onion is soft and translucent, about 7 - 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Discard excess grease.
Add in the garlic; cook 60 - 90 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
Pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and water. Season with the Italian seasoning, salt, onion powder, and pepper; stir. Increase the heat to high; bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 - 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, for flavors to develop.
Add the pasta to the pot, ensuring that it's fully submerged in the sauce. Cook for another 15 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
Remove the pot from the heat.
Serve immediately.
