Love meatloaf, but want to try a new way to make it? This meatloaf is flavorful with ground beef and ground pork, mixed with cooked bacon, sauteed onions, mushrooms, Parmesan and Swiss cheese, and lots of seasonings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 c. finely chopped mushrooms
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 T. ketchup
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. dried thyme
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. black pepper
- 1/2 c. ketchup, for topping
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy; crumble. Do not clean the skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions and mushrooms in until the mushrooms are tender and the onions are translucent. Set aside to cool.
