Description
Use any flavor boxed cake mix, an egg and Cool Whip for an easy way to make cute, festive cookies for the holidays. Decorate them with a variety of Hershey Kisses candies, sprinkles or powdered sugar.
Ingredients
15.25 oz. cake mix, strawberry, chocolate, spice, or favorite
8 oz. container frozen Cool Whip, defrosted
1 egg
any flavor Hershey's kisses, sprinkles, or powdered sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease the baking sheet or cover it with parchment paper.
Combine the egg, cake mix, and Cool Whip in a large bowl until well combined.
Use a small scoop to portion batter into balls.
Roll cookies in powdered sugar, if using.
Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges look golden brown. Don't overbake.
If using Hershey's kisses, place one in the center of each cookie immediately after removing cookies from the oven.
Allow the cookies to cool until firm before removing them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Makes 10 or more cookies, depending on the size.
