Description
This Italian casserole is so easy to make and delicious, you'll put it on your meal rotation. Stuff the manicotti pasta the easy way using string cheese, then cover the pasta in an Italian sausage and marinara sauce and more cheese.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. package manicotti pasta
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage (or ground beef)
- 1/2 - 1 onion, chopped
- 24-26 oz. marinara/spaghetti sauce
- 10 -14 string cheese sticks
- 1 c. shredded Mozzerella cheese
- 1 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh basil or parsley
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- While the pasta is cooking, cook and crumble the Italian sausage with the chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat. Discard the fat. Stir in the marinara sauce.
