Description
Restaurants seem to have the perfect baked potato every time and now you can too. The outside is crispy, and the inside is fluffy and delicious. Serve it as a side dish, or as a main dish with toppings of your choice.
Ingredients
- 1 medium-to-large Russet potato, scrubbed clean
- 1–2 t. melted butter or olive oil
- pinch of coarse Kosher or sea salt
- pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- Optional Toppings: Cheddar cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, butter, green onion slices, chives, chili, cooked broccoli, guacamole
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- Use a dinner fork to poke the potato all over at least 10 times. Place the potato on the prepared baking sheet.
- Round One: Bake for 25 minutes. Remove baking sheet from the oven.
