Hamburger mixed with feta, spices, bread and cream make a decadent meatloaf. This recipe serves ten so you could make the whole recipe and have left overs, bake half right away and freeze the other half.
2 large yellow onions, pureed
5 lbs. ground beef
2 T. kosher salt
1 1/2 T. granulated garlic
1 1/2 T. granulated onion
1 1/2 T. black pepper, freshly ground
1 1/2 T basil, dry
1 c. heavy cream
10 slices of white bread, soaked in heavy cream
7 eggs
2 1/2 c. feta, crumbled
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
Mix all ingredients together for 5 minutes until it is thoroughly combined. Let it stand for at least 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Prepare loaf pans by spraying with nonstick cooking spray. Place mixture into prepared pans and then cover with foil. Cook for about an hour. Let the meatloaf cool before removing it from the pan. Serves 10.
