This main dish could also be used as a side dish.
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 t. seasoned salt
1 large chopped onion'1/2 t. ground cumin
2 cans refried beans
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
1 can chopped green chilies
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
3/4 c. bottled taco sauce
Brown meat and onions, drain. Add salt and cumin.
In separate dish, combine beans and seasoning, blend well, add Monterey Jack cheese, then spread bean mixture in shallow pan. Cover with meat mix. Sprinkle chilies over meat. Top with cheddar cheese. Pour taco sauce over cheese. This is able to be refrigerated at this point, if necessary. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. It is done when it bubbles. Serve with taco chips.
