These spicy meatballs are the perfect appetizer. They are so good, serve them with pasta for a great meal too!
1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
1/4 c. less fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2 eggs whites
3 slices turkey bacon, cooked and minced
3 jalapenos, minced
½ c. Panko bread crumbs
4 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
½ c. Mexican Cheese Blend
1 T. dried oregano
1 t. chili powder
1 t. kosher salt
½ t. black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well, but don't over mix or the meatballs will be tough.
Using a tablespoon scoop, scoop out meat and place on baking sheet. After all meatballs have been scooped onto baking sheet, roll into balls.
Bake for 20-22 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.
TIP: Lightly wet hands so that the meatballs will form better and crack less.
