Try making these easy nachos and serve them as an appetizer, lunch or dinnertime meal. Change it up a bit by using ground turkey or chicken, serving them with slices of avocado or topped with guacamole.
1 lb. ground beef
1 T. chili powder
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. onion powder
1/2 t. paprika
1 1/2 t. ground cumin
1 t. sea salt
1 t. black pepper
1/4 c. water
non-stick cooking spray
1/2 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 bag Tostitos corn chips
2 c. freshly shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c. shredded lettuce
1 tomato, chopped
1/4 c. sour cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain; return to skillet.
In a bowl, combine chili, garlic and onion powders, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper; stir.
Slowly sprinkle seasonings over ground beef; add 1/4 cup water; stir; cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Fill baking pan with tortilla chips; sprinkle on black beans, ground beef and cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve warm, topped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.
